What is your return policy?

Each Phat Buddha piece is made and sent with love. We guarantee our merchandise to be free of manufacturing defects.

Please note that all SALE purchases are final.

What do I do if my order is damaged or defective?

We guarantee our merchandise to be free of manufacturing defects, but we will gladly offer a full refund or exchange for online orders within 14 days from receipt of goods. If an item arrives defective or damaged, please send an email to In the body of the email please include your order number, a picture of the damage, and a short description of the issue.


How long does it take to process a return?

Once your order has been shipped back to us, please allow up to 10 days for the return to be processed at our warehouse. Please allow additional time for international orders.

If you choose to return for store credit, your credit will be available as soon as the return is processed.

If you choose to return an item for a full refund, please allow 3-5 full business days after the return has been processed for the refund to show up in your bank account

Processing credit is subject to your bank.

You will be notified via email once your return has been processed.


Can I return an item in person?

Unfortunately, we do not have a brick-and-mortar store location and are unable to make returns in person. All returns must be made through postal service.


How do I return or exchange a gift?

To initiate a return or exchange on a gift, send an email to and we can help get you started. If you are having trouble tracking down all the details from the original order, we are happy to help, just include as much information as possible in your email and we will work to recover any missing information.



What is your shipping policy?

All domestic ground packages are shipped via UPS. UPS does not ship to PO Boxes or APO addresses.

Orders may be delayed from shipment due to discrepancies in payment or billing/shipping information. Transit times may be extended due to incomplete shipping addresses, weather conditions, and/or high volume of packages.

Phat Buddha is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Customers should file these complaints with UPS.

When will my order be shipped?

Orders placed with Standard shipping will ship within 1-2 business days. Please note that orders placed after 11:00AM EST on Friday or over the weekend will ship on the following Monday (excluding major holidays).

Expedited and Overnight orders placed by 1:00PM EST Monday – Friday will be shipped same day and deliver on the next business day. Please note that Expedited and Overnight orders placed after 1:00PM EST on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday will ship on the following Monday (excluding major holidays).

All international orders placed by 11:00AM EST will ship out within 2 business days.


Where do orders ship from?

All orders ship from our warehouse in New Jersey.


How long will it take for my order to arrive?

For Standard shipments within the US, you can expect your order to arrive in 5 – 8 business days once it has been shipped from our warehouse.

For Standard shipments outside the US, you can expect your order to arrive in 10 – 14 business days. Delivery times will vary based on destination country.

Domestic shipping guidelines apply to shipping within the contiguous United States only. Orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, APO, FPO, and US Territories are considered non-domestic and are subject to longer ship times.

Phat Buddha is not responsible for delays in shipping or delivery that result from factors outside our control such as inclement weather or any other shipping-related issue(s).


Can I track my order?

Once your order has been shipped, we will send a confirmation email that includes tracking information.

Please allow up to 24 hours from when you receive your tracking number for activity to update.


Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do ship internationally.

We charge a standard price of $25 for all international shipping.

Shipment time is subject to change based on destination.


About My Order

 Do I have to make an account to place an order?

No, you can always checkout as a guest, but make sure to join our email list here to stay up to date on the latest news and exclusive offers.


I just placed my order. Can I still make changes to my cart?

Unfortunately, once an order has been placed, we are unable to add or remove items.

You can always place a second order for any items your forgot to add.


Can I change the color/size of an item I just ordered?

Once your order has been successfully submitted, we are unable to make any changes. If you would like to cancel you order, please contact us immediately at Otherwise, we are happy to initiate a return for the items you mistakenly ordered while you place a new order in your preferred size and color.


Can I cancel my order?

Orders are only able to be cancelled if your shipment has not yet been initiated. Let us know ASAP if you need to cancel an order by emailing and we will do our best to assist you.

Orders that cannot be canceled can always returned for a full refund within 14 days from receipt of goods. Please initiate a return by contacting or filling out our form here.


Can I update my shipping address?

Yes, as long as your order has not yet shipped. Please send us an email at ASAP and we will do our best to assist you.


Why haven’t I received my entire order?

We always try to ship your order in full, however, in the rare case that an item is unavailable, we will notify you via email and refund you for any missing items.

Orders that contain more than one item may be shipped separately. When an order is split, you will receive a unique tracking number for each shipment with no additional charges for shipping. Orders will arrive at or near the same time.


Do you offer gift wrapping?

Sorry, we do not offer giftwrapping at this time.


How does pre-ordering work?

Pre-ordering works just like regular orders. Go through the entire check out process and pre-ordered items will ship as soon as they become available. You will be charged applicable shipping costs and taxes at the time of checkout.

For single orders containing both in-stock and pre-order items, in-stock items will ship within 1 – 2 business days. Pre-order items will ship separately as soon as they are available.

Prices/Sales/Promo Codes

Do you charge sales tax?

Yes, we charge sales tax based on rates for the zip code in your shipping address. The tax will be reflected at checkout once you update your shipment information.


Do you offer price matching or adjustments?

Sorry, we do not offer any price matching or adjustments for any of our unique products at this time.


I forgot to use my promo code – what do I do?

Please contact us right away at As long as your purchase is eligible for the promo code, we will refund the difference to the card we have on file or issue store credit.


Why doesn’t my promo code work?

Once a promo code is used, it cannot be used again for another order.

Promo codes are non-transferrable.

My purchase went on sale right after I ordered it. Can you honor the sale price?

Please email us at If the item went on sale within 1 week after you purchased it, we can honor the sale price. We will refund the difference to the card on file or issue store credit. Please allow 3 -5 business days for the refund to fully process.

Do you offer any discounts for instructors?

Do you offer a student discount?

Yes! All current college students with a valid .edu email address are eligible for a student discount on select Phat Buddha styles. Create your account using your .edu email here.

Students are eligible to save 15% on select Phat Buddha styles and once you sign up, you will receive a dicount code via emial to use at checkout.

Do you have a brick-and-mortar store?

No, as of right now we do not have any store locations.


Can I purchase a gift card?

Digital gift cards can be purchased here.

We offer digital gift card purchases of $50 or more.

Purchases of gift cards can not be combined with other merchandise.

Gift cards are non-refundable.


Will you restock sold-out items?

Many of our items are limited availability; however, we do frequently restock popular styles including our Back to Basics. Please check back regularly to see if your favorite items have been restocked.


How should I wash and care for my Phat Buddha clothing?

We recommend washing all Phat Buddha items with cold water and hang drying or using a low heat setting in the dryer to best preserve product life.


Do you offer hemming services?

Sorry, we are unable to offer any product alteration services at this time.


How do I unsubscribe from emails?
